Level 1: Foundations of Infant Massage Therapy

Part 1 – Online (Zoom)

Build a strong foundation in infant massage through interactive online learning. This session focuses on the theory, principles, and techniques of infant massage therapy.

Part 2 – In-Person Practical

Put your knowledge into practice through supervised, hands-on learning. Under the guidance of RMT Aurelia Vizitiu, you'll practice techniques using dolls and live infant models while receiving personalized feedback and instruction.

Prerequisites

Participants must be one of the following:

• Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

• Licensed healthcare professional

• Healthcare student

What You'll Learn

Topics include:

• Normal pediatric development

• Benefits of infant massage

• Safety precautions and contraindications

• Infant assessment and muscle tone evaluation

• Assessment of newborn reflexes

• Full-body infant massage techniques

• Massage approaches for children

• Age-appropriate exercises for infants up to 12 months
